At the ACARM meeting in Budapest in 1999 it was agreed that it would be good to develop the web-site to promote the resources held by the member organisations as well as providing information about the activities of ACARM. It was decided that we should take a thematic approach to this and concentrate on subjects that would highlight areas of common interest, culture or heritage. These web pages are a pilot project by the National Archives of Singapore and the India Office Records in London, highlighting sources relating to government buildings. We hope that other organisations will participate and expand the project.
