Subscriptions
The Executive Committee, which has responsibility under ACARM's Constitution for fixing subscription rates, has devised a subscription scale which will produce a reasonable income without penalising members in the poorer countries of the Commonwealth. The system used by the International Council on Archives, which relates subscriptions to GNP, is too complex to be adopted by ACARM as it stands, but a modified and more simple system based on the ICA model has been agreed.
A three-band subscription scale, related to ICA Category A subscription rates, was introduced in January 1998. A fourth category was introduced from 2001 to allow individual members to pay for four years. The benefits of membership are detailed elsewhere on this site.
